
Seimone Augustus delivered a memorable and heartfelt speech during her 2024 Naismith Hall of Fame induction. She kicked things off by singing part of Garth Brooks’ “Callin’ Baton Rouge,” a tribute to her hometown, which resonated deeply with the audience. Her speech was filled with personal reflections on her Louisiana roots, her journey from Capitol High School to leading LSU to multiple Final Fours, and her gratitude for the support from her community. She also shared a touching poem she wrote, which earned her a standing ovation.
